This lesson plan is focused on the ways oppression shows up in a workplace. This is one of the scenarios in which we can make an easy, clear link between being "liked" and the amount of money in your wallet. A boost or an obstacle here can add up to hundreds of thousand of dollars over a lifetime. How does the wage gap work? Can we try to close it? How long will it take?
This worksheet is what we would be doing in a 2-hour class period, where we have a chance to work together. This time is especially valuable because you can really apply the concepts you learned, while getting perspective and support from other folks. The worksheet represents 2 hours of work in groups of 3.
