Week 4: US impact and interconnection


This week looks into US and European cultural imperialism and starts to explore the impacts of capitalist exploitation across the globe. We talk about the environmental interconnection and finite resources that we share on a single planet. We question the language that describes countries as developING, implying that those countries should be more like developED ones.

These materials are designed for small group work with 1 hour of real-time conversation. Folks do individual reading, watching and writing before having a conversation with their group.

These materials are meant to be used individually: to watch, read and write, ideally 24 hours before the group conversation begins.
